Life In Japan Update

I’m really enjoying certain aspects of being a salary man; easy, fulfilling work, short working hours, nice pay check. Unfortunately, I’m really hating my commute. Generally it’s a 4 hour round trip trek to and from work, which is really draining in and of itself. I get by though, reminding myself that it could actually be worse (i.e., driving to work), and I get to take this time to read or study. My Japanese is coming along, but my working hours are preventing me from taking any actual courses and leaving me pretty much exhausted by the end of the night. I’m looking forward to an upcoming trip to Kyoto when my sister comes to visit next week!

Inkscape 0.46

Inkscape 0.46 has finally been released. There are a lot of new features packed into this latest version. My favorite being that the tool palettes can now be docked, which is a huge improvement in the user interface in my opinion. There are a lot of other new additions to this release that I’ll be testing out in the near future, in the mean time, head over to the Inkscape website to get a free copy.
